Chingiz Mustafayev §

Azerbaijani-Russian journalist who filmed two passes through the kill zone north of Khojaly on 28 February and 2 March 1992. The footage globalised Khojaly. The discrepancies between his two films, particularly in the position and condition of bodies, became the evidentiary core of later Armenian-side denial of mutilations. Killed in combat in June 1992. Posthumously named National Hero of Azerbaijan.
