Important medieval monastery in northern Karabakh, traditionally founded over the relics of Elisaeus, one of the apostles of Caucasian Albania and (in Armenian tradition) of Armenia. Came under Azerbaijani control in November 2020. Caucasus Heritage Watch and Monument Watch have documented signage and surrounding fabric changes consistent with the Albanianisation framing.
