St Yeghishe Arakyal Monastery, Mataghis (Jraberd)
St Yeghishe Arakyal Monastery near Mataghis/Jraberd is part of the medieval Armenian sacred geography of northern Karabakh. After the 2023 Azerbaijani takeover of the remaining Armenian-controlled areas, the site came under Azerbaijani authority. Monitoring has indicated damage to ancillary elements and khachkars while the principal building remains standing.
