Reliability is debated for some categories (the Stalinist period census of January 1937 was suppressed; 1939 figures are themselves political artefacts in places). Used here alongside 1926, 1959, 1970, 1979 and 1989 for the NKAO and Nakhichevan ASSR demographic series.
