The only standing Greco-Roman pre-Christian temple in the South Caucasus, dedicated to the sun god Mihr. Built under the Arsacid king Tiridates I in the 1st c. Collapsed in the 1679 Yerevan earthquake; reconstructed under Soviet Armenian SSR auspices using the original stones, 1969-1975. Adjacent to the Geghard Monastery complex.
